Visual Terrain has been awarded with a DBE (Disadvantaged Business Enterprise) certification, through the California Department of Transportation, under the U.S. Department of Transportations Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) 49.
What does this mean to you?
As a client, our “disadvantage” is now your advantage!
The DBE replaces the Woman-Owned Business (or Women’s Business Enterprise) and Minority-Owned Business certifications of the past, under the California Unified Certification Program (CUCP). The certification allows qualified clients to receive various credits for using DBE vendors. For larger clients with vendor-diversity programs, seeking to do business with a DBE, our certification means you may include lighting design as a qualified activity in your diversity reporting!
In some cases, the benefits may include tax credits and other financial incentives from your state (even if you are not in California) and the U.S. government. Talk to your tax and legal professionals for more information.
Visual Terrain is authorized as a DBE for NAICS Category Code 591490 (Other Specialized Design Services) and Work Category Codes 17388 (Interior Decorating and Design) and C8604 (Lighting Design).
