We are thrilled to share that back in June, 2024, Visual Terrain has received an Award of Merit from the Illuminating Engineering Society Los Angeles for our lighting design of the Greater Zion Visitor Center in St. George, Utah!
Our creative lighting design features two distinct layers: one designed for functional illumination of educational text and graphics, ensuring clarity for visitors, and the other to highlight the breathtaking natural beauty depicted in the graphics and rock work.
This dynamic design transitions every fifteen minutes, showcasing the stunning colors and moods of dawn, midday, sunset, and night, creating an ever-changing ambiance that invites exploration.
A huge congratulations to our amazing team members—Christina J. Martin, Steeve Vajk, Mallory Paddock, and Lisa Passamonte Green — for their hard work and artistry to bring this project to life!
Thanks to Hunt Design for bringing us into this amazing project and giving us great exhibits to light. Thanks to the Washington County team for their great support and thanks to Bandit Lites, Inc. and Watts Construction Inc. for working with us to realize the design all the way through to opening day!
