Fall Internship Report

Visual Terrain did not plan to have an intern for Fall of 2024, but when Cal Arts lighting professor Anne Militello called and said she had a student we just had to hire, we couldn’t say no!

Max joined us in October, and was quickly thrown into the deep end, assisting our lighting and production team on a wide variety of projects. Just as quickly, Max’s internship is over, and he leaves us just before the holidays. We’ve enjoyed having Max onboard. You can read his Intern Interview here.

Although many of our team have already left for the holidays, those who are still around had messages for Max:

Austin Kelm: Its been a pleasure getting to work with you and learn things together! I hope you enjoy your final semester and we can’t wait to see the projects you end up working on!

David Green: You’ve brought great positive energy to the office, and it’s been a true pleasure to have you here. Looking forward to seeing you again in 2025.

Lucius Lee: May your journey be graced with boundless splendor, and may we cross paths again under the weave of fate.

Michelle Malakoff: Max — I wish you well in your completion of your degree, and may you have a wonderful adventure in your future endeavors. You never know, but our paths may cross again!

Lilian Moseley: Max, it’s been such a joy having you on the team—your positivity, hard work, and passion for lighting design have made a lasting impact. Best of luck on your next adventure; I can’t wait to see all the amazing things you’ll accomplish in the future!

Christina Martin: It’s been a pleasure having you as part of the team. Your hard work and enthusiasm will make you an asset wherever you go next! We’ll miss your positive energy and dedication, but we’re excited to see where your next chapter takes you. Best of luck in all your future endeavors, and remember, you’ll always have friends here!

Lisa Passamonte Green: Max – what a joy you were to have on our team these past few months. Your positive can-do attitude was great and your willingness to be thrown right into our projects with the rest of the team was so very appreciated. I can’t wait for our paths to cross again and hear all about your next semester adventures!

Steven Young: Max, thank you for all of your hard work (and great conversation too); it is clear from the work you’ve done here that your future will be more wondrous than anything that you or I could ever imagine.
